Can I bring outside food or drinks?

For health and safety reasons, outside food and drinks are not permitted inside the facility. This includes items such as coffee in plastic or paper cups and fast food.Water and sports drinks are allowed. If you bring food, please eat it outside or in your car.Our snack stand offers a variety of snacks, drinks, sodas, and hot foods, including pretzels and pizza.Athletes renting uniforms must cover their uniform or change out of it while eating. A $75 replacement fee will apply if a rented uniform is stained.

Is there seating at the facility?

Yes! The facility has metal folding chairs available for spectators. Some parents find them less comfortable for extended periods, so you are welcome to bring your own chair if you prefer.

Do we keep the uniform tops?

Accepted Answer

No. To keep costs down, REC It provides rented long-sleeve uniform tops in a variety of sizes and colors. Athletes move up at their own pace, and teams change every 4 weeks, so they will likely have a different team and uniform at each tournament.At the end of each tournament, athletes return their uniform top and receive their tournament T-shirt. Uniforms are washed after every event with Tide hypoallergenic detergent.If a uniform top is lost or damaged outside of normal volleyball play—including damage from eating or drinking—the athlete is responsible for a $75 replacement fee. This covers reordering and rushing a replacement so it is available for the next tournament series.Note: XS tops may have longer sleeves for some younger athletes. Rolling the sleeves is perfectly fine!

Does the facility have A/C or heat?

Yes! The facility has both air conditioning and heat and makes an effort to keep the building comfortable for the athletes.Keep in mind that the temperature is generally set with active athletes in mind, not spectators who may be sitting for several hours. In the winter, the heat will be running, but spectators may still feel cold while sitting on metal folding chairs. We recommend bringing a blanket or extra layer.Athletes can also get cold between games. After playing, they may be warm and sweaty, but once they stop moving and cool down, they can become chilly. Having a sweatshirt, sweatpants, or warm-up layer available is a good idea.During the spring and summer, soccer uses the turf in the back of the building, so the large doors may be opened frequently. This can cause the temperature inside to change throughout the day. Early spring tournaments can be especially unpredictable—we have had days where it was freezing in the morning and warm in the afternoon.Our rule of thumb: Come prepared for changing temperatures. We recommend keeping comfortable sweatpants, a sweatshirt/hoodie, and a blanket in your car just in case. It is always better to have an extra layer and not need it than to wish you had one!

Does the facility have disability access?

Yes. The facility has designated accessible parking spaces and a ramp wide enough for wheelchairs to access the building.Depending on which courts we are using, there is typically a bathroom located directly behind the spectator seating area, making it convenient for guests with mobility needs.If you have specific accessibility needs or concerns, please let us know ahead of time so we can help you plan for your visit.

What if I can't attend, need to arrive late, or leave early?

We understand that schedules can change! If you cannot attend the tournament, need to arrive late, or need to leave early, please let us know as soon as possible.Please fill out the form below to notify us of any attendance changes. This helps our staff plan teams and make adjustments before the tournament begins.If you are arriving late or leaving early, please also check in with REC It staff when you arrive so we know your athlete is present and can direct you to the correct team and court.Thank you for giving us as much notice as possible!
