AGES Girls: 12–16 | Boys: 11–14 EXPERIENCE At least 8 months of volleyball experience. No prior rotations training required. WHAT ATHLETES MUST KNOW PRIOR Athletes should understand basic volleyball skills and be ready to combine skills with teammates instead of practicing everything individually. They should have exposure to back-row setting, spot/jump serving, swing blocking, serve receive, and full transition. WHAT ATHLETES WILL LEARN Rotations Level 1 is an introduction to rotations focused on understanding how they work instead of memorizing all 6 at once. Each 4-week session focuses on one rotation so athletes can learn the rules, positions, responsibilities, and movement pathways in depth. Athletes rotate through different positions rather than staying in one role. This helps them understand teammates’ responsibilities and discover which positions they enjoy most. They practice serve receive, defensive positioning, communication, court awareness, and moving from their starting position into their role once the ball is in play. Each Level 1 session focuses on a different rotation, so athletes commonly take this class 2–3 times before moving on. WHAT TO BRING Water/sports drink and kneepads. Kneepads required. FACILITY SPECIFICS Clifton has no water fountain or snack stand. Bring enough water. Enter through the back and look for the black canopy marked “COURT.” REGISTRATION POLICY Payment secures the athlete’s spot. Confirm the facility, dates, and times before registering. No refunds or makeup practices for missed practices, vacations, other sports, scheduling conflicts, or arriving at the wrong location/time.
