Late registration is subject to availability. AGES Girls: 9–14 | Boys: 8–12 EXPERIENCE No experience required. WHAT ATHLETES MUST KNOW PRIOR Nothing! This class is designed for athletes who are new to volleyball. WHAT ATHLETES WILL LEARN Athletes will build confidence while learning volleyball fundamentals, including passing, forward and back setting, hitting, serving, transitioning, court movement, communication, and gameplay. Coaches will help athletes become comfortable with the skills and movement used during volleyball practices and games. WHAT TO BRING • Water or sports drink • Kneepads Please arrive dressed and ready to participate before every class begins. Please label all items before practice. ATTIRE Wear athletic clothing and sneakers that allow athletes to run, dive, roll and move comfortably on the floor. Volleyball, running, or athletic basketball shoes are recommended. Avoid Converse, Air Force 1s, Crocs, and other lifestyle shoes. No crop tops, jeans, jean shorts, skirts, thin or stretchy strap tops, hanging earrings, or beaded bracelets. Hair that is chin-length or longer should be pulled back. FACILITY SPECIFICS Metuchen SportsPlex sells snacks and drinks at the front desk. A water fountain is located near the bathrooms. REGISTRATION POLICY Payment must be completed to secure an athlete’s spot. Please confirm the facility, dates, and times before registering. No refunds or makeup practices are provided if an athlete goes to the wrong location, arrives at the wrong time, or misses practice because of another sport, activity, vacation, or scheduling conflict.
