HITTING + SERVING VOLLEYBALL CLINIC Saturday, December 19 | 10:30 AM–12:00 PM LOCATION: All Season Sports Academy 2700 Hamilton Blvd, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 PRICE: $50 per athlete AGES: Girls ages 11–16 and boys ages 10–14. FORMAT: One-day, 90-minute specialty clinic focused specifically on hitting and serving. EXPERIENCE: Athletes should have some prior volleyball training and be familiar with the basic mechanics of hitting and/or overhand serving. HITTING: Athletes will work on their hitting approach, timing, arm swing, contact point, lining up to the ball, and power production. Coaches will also introduce strategic hitting locations and help athletes learn how to attack or place the ball with more purpose. SERVING: Athletes will work on improving consistency, accuracy, and power. Depending on experience level, athletes may work on standing overhand serving or jump serving. Drills may include spot serving, short and deep serving, serving to specific zones, and power production. CLINIC GOAL: This clinic gives athletes focused repetitions on two important offensive skills. Athletes will work through progressions and receive coaching on technique, control, consistency, accuracy, and power. WHAT TO WEAR: Kneepads are recommended. Athletes should wear athletic sneakers and clothing that allows them to move, jump, and approach comfortably. Hair chin-length or longer should be pulled back.
