Service Description

**METUCHEN PREP FOR ROTATIONS PRACTICES** **Saturdays: September 12, 19, 26, October 3 & 10 | 3:50–5:10 PM** **LOCATION:** Metuchen Sportsplex 215 Durham Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840 **PRICE:** $250 for all 5 practices. If space remains, athletes may join in Week 2 for **$199 for the remaining 4 practices**. **AGES:** Girls ages 11–15 and boys ages 10–12. **EXPERIENCE:** Athletes should have at least six months of volleyball training and basic gameplay experience. **FORMAT:** Five 80-minute practices. No tournament included. **WHAT WILL ATHLETES LEARN?** Athletes will work on swing blocking, transitioning, diving, serve receive, perimeter defense, setting from the back row, jump serving, and spot serving. Each practice ends with 20–30 minutes of gameplay. **PREREQUISITES:** Athletes should understand the basic skills taught in Beginner practices. **Transitioning:** Athletes should understand how to block at the net and move about 10 feet off the net to prepare to hit. **Setting:** Athletes should be willing to set during gameplay. Practices introduce the setter moving from the back row to the target area. **Serving:** Athletes should be able to overhand serve over the net from at least half court. **WHAT TO WEAR:** Kneepads are required. Wear athletic sneakers and clothing suitable for running, diving, rolling, and floor movement. Volleyball, running, or athletic basketball shoes are recommended. Avoid Converse, Air Force 1s, Crocs, and other lifestyle shoes. Hair chin-length or longer should be pulled back. **ALLOWED:** T-shirts, long sleeves, sweatshirts, secure sleeveless athletic tops, spandex, athletic shorts, leggings, sweatpants, athletic skorts, sports watches, headbands, and secured religious jewelry. **NOT ALLOWED:** Crop tops, jeans, jean shorts, skirts, Crocs, thin-strapped tops, hanging earrings, or beaded bracelets. **REGISTRATION POLICY:** Payment must be completed to secure a spot. Confirm the location, dates, and times before registering. No refunds or makeup practices are provided for going to the wrong location, arriving at the wrong time, or missing practice because of sports, activities, vacations, or scheduling conflicts.
