REC It Volleyball Registration Calendar: When to Register for Classes & Camps

Planning ahead for volleyball? Here's everything you need to know about when our classes open for registration, how to secure your spot, and what to do if your preferred class is full.

One of the most common questions we receive is, "When does registration open for the next session?"

At REC It Volleyball, we offer multiple registration opportunities throughout the year. Our shorter sessions give families flexibility, but they also mean that registration for the next program may open while your athlete is still participating in their current class.

To make planning easier, we've put together our annual registration calendar.

1. When Does Registration Open?

You don't have to wait until the current session ends to register for the next one!

Below are our anticipated registration periods and class dates throughout the year.

Important: You do not need to complete your current session before registering for another one.

If your child enjoys their class and wants to continue, we encourage you to register for their next session as soon as it becomes available.

Not sure whether your athlete should advance to the next level? Ask your coach! We prioritize skill readiness rather than automatically moving athletes up after completing a session.

3. Winter Is Our Busiest Season — Register Early!

November through March is our busiest training period of the year.

As school volleyball seasons end, more families begin searching for opportunities to continue developing their athletes' skills.

This means our winter programs often fill much faster than families expect.

Our three winter sessions are:

  • Winter 1: November 15 – December 20

  • Winter 2: January 2 – February 7

  • Winter 3: February 8 – March 14

If you're interested in a winter session, we strongly recommend registering when classes first appear on our website rather than waiting until the first week of practice.

Previous enrollment does not automatically reserve a spot in the next session.

4. Why Don't We Allow More Kids Into Sold-Out Classes?

We understand how frustrating it can be when the perfect class for your child's schedule is already full.

However, at REC It Volleyball, once a class reaches capacity, we won't squeeze in additional athletes just to make an extra buck.

Our goal isn't to fit as many children as possible onto a court. Our goal is to provide quality instruction and meaningful playing time.

We also believe families who registered early and on time deserve to receive the experience they signed up for.

Imagine registering your child for a class expecting plenty of instruction and court time, only to discover that additional athletes were added after the class was already full.

Suddenly, your child is:

  • Standing in long lines waiting for their turn during drills.

  • Getting fewer touches on the ball.

  • Spending more time watching than practicing.

  • Barely getting on the court during gameplay because there are too many athletes.

That's not the experience we want to provide.

We intentionally limit enrollment based on court space, the number of coaches, and the structure of each class.

Every additional athlete affects the amount of individual attention, practice repetitions, and gameplay available to the rest of the group.

We respect the families who made the commitment to register early, and we aren't willing to compromise their experience simply to collect additional registrations.

We would rather tell a family that a class is full and help them plan for the next session than overcrowd a court.

Quality training comes before quantity of registrations.

5. Why Are Our Volleyball Sessions Only 4–6 Weeks?

One of the things that makes REC It Volleyball different is our shorter program structure.

Rather than requiring families to commit to an entire season, we typically offer sessions lasting approximately four to six weeks.

Here's why:

More Flexibility for Families

We know kids have school, other sports, vacations, and busy family schedules.

Shorter sessions allow families to participate without committing to months of practices that might conflict with other activities.

More Opportunities to Join Throughout the Year

If you miss a session, you won't necessarily have to wait several months to try again.

Our registration calendar provides frequent opportunities for new and returning athletes to participate.

Skill-Based Advancement

Athletes don't all develop at the same pace.

Our shorter sessions allow coaches to regularly evaluate each athlete's progress and recommend whether they should continue strengthening their current skills or advance to a more challenging program.

Repeating a level isn't falling behind. Sometimes another session provides exactly the practice an athlete needs to become more confident and consistent.

Structured Learning

Each session follows a structured training plan focused on skill development.

Our athletes build on what they've learned while receiving opportunities to practice, make mistakes, and improve.

No Long-Term Commitment

We want families to return because they're happy with the training their child receives, not because they're locked into a long contract.

Our shorter sessions allow you to decide what works best for your family.

6. Frequently Asked Registration Questions

Can I register for the next session before my current session ends?

Yes! We encourage it. Registration generally opens before the previous session ends, so you can reserve your next spot early.

Does my child automatically get a spot in the next session if they're already enrolled?

No. Each session requires a new registration, and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What if my preferred class sells out?

Check for another available class or use the registration calendar above to plan for the next session. We do not exceed our class capacity to accommodate additional registrations.

Will every class be available during every session?

Not necessarily. Schedules, class levels, locations, and availability can vary throughout the year. Always check our website for the most current offerings.

When should I sign up for summer camps?

Our summer camp offerings typically appear on our website in December, even though camps take place between June and August.

How do I know which skill level to register my child for?

Our programs are designed around skill readiness. If you're unsure whether your athlete belongs in Beginner Practice, Prep for Rotations, or one of our Rotations levels, contact us or ask your current coach for guidance.

7. How to Stay Ahead of Registration

The easiest way to avoid missing your preferred class is to plan ahead.

Check our website during the registration opening periods listed above. Popular class times and locations may fill before the first practice.

Register when you find a class that works for your family. Waiting until the current session ends may mean losing your preferred spot.

Stay subscribed to our emails. We share information about upcoming programs, registration opportunities, and important announcements.

Talk to your athlete's coach. If your child is currently enrolled, ask about their progress and which program would be the best fit next.

Ready to Get Back on the Court?

At REC It Volleyball, we believe quality instruction, meaningful repetitions, and opportunities to grow are what make a great volleyball program.

Our registration system is designed to provide flexibility for families while maintaining the class sizes and training standards our athletes deserve.

Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning for another session, we look forward to helping your athlete continue developing their skills and confidence.

Don't wait until your favorite class sells out!
