  • Hair: Any hair that is chin-length or longer should be pulled back and kept out of the athlete’s face.
  • Sneakers:Athletic sneakers are strongly recommended. Volleyball shoes, running shoes, or athletic-friendly basketball sneakers are all good options. Please avoid lifestyle shoes such as Converse or Air Force 1s when possible, as many athletes slip in these shoes or experience foot pain while training.
  • Clothing: A good rule of thumb is that athletes should wear clothing they can comfortably move, dive, roll, and sit on the ground in.
    • Allowed tops:T-shirts, long sleeves, sweatshirts, arm sleeves, and modest sleeveless athletic tops are acceptable. Sleeveless tops must stay secure and provide appropriate coverage while athletes dive, roll, and move on the ground.
    • Allowed bottoms: Spandex, athletic shorts, leggings, sweatpants, and pickleball skorts are acceptable.
  • Allowed accessories: Sports watches, headbands, and religious jewelry are allowed as long as they do not create a safety issue.
  • Jewelry: No hanging earrings or beaded bracelets. If a beaded bracelet breaks, the beads can scatter across the court and create a safety hazard. Religious jewelry may be worn, but it should be covered or secured when possible to help prevent it from breaking or causing injury. Everything else is okay.
    • NOT ALLOWED Crop tops, jean shorts or pants, skirts, Crocs, tank tops with thin or stretchy straps, hanging earrings, and beaded bracelets.
