The government-sponsored International Film Festival of India now in its 32nd year is being held in Bangalore from Oct 10 - 20. The dates have been moved from early January to mid October to accommodate more International and Indian films. For the first time the festival will showcase Indian films and films made by non-resident Indians in a special section. It will also have a new market section with its own screening facilities.The festival announced that it will premiere Balgandharava, directed by Haimansi Banerjee, Ajopa Gacha by Ranjit Ray, Basha by Suprito Sen, Lok Priya by Arun Khopkar, Dr. Rajkumar by S.K.
