Northwest Vision and Media has selected six finalists in its Digital Departures mi <a href=https://www.cups-stanley.ca>stanley cup</a> cro-budget scheme. The six teams now working on scripts and three will be greenlight by an industry panel for funding of $502,000 拢250,000 each. The projects are: documentary Time And The City written and directed by Terence Davies and produced by Solon Papadopoulos and Roy Boulter; drama The Don written by Jeff Young and Pete Wylie and produced by Tishna Molla; drama Starstruck written by Leigh Campbell, directed by Lindy Heymann and produced by Andy Stebbing; comedy Whores With Guns written by John Bishop, directed by James Marquand and produced by Philip Evers; comedy/drama Left Handed written and directed by Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor and produced by Julie Lau; and horror Salvage written by Colin O Donnell, directed by Lawrence Gough a <a href=https://www.stanleycups.it>stanley italy</a> nd produced by Alan Pattison. We ve been able to attract some of the country s finest creative talent to this initiative and as we near the deadline for choosing the final three films, the quality of the projects has just been phenomenal, said Lisa Marie Russo, Executive Producer for Digital Departures. Since the organisation announced it would introduce electronic voting for the first time this year, some members have been confused about their options.Members now have until Dec 14 to request a paper ballot vote instead of Nov 30. In past years, once our members paid their dues, they would automatically be sent a ballot at the appropriate time, said Academy COO Ric Robertson. With the introduction of electronic voting this year, members must either register to vote electronically or request a paper ballot. The Academy said most members had already registered to vote online.
