The films French title Un Et茅 br没lant translates as A Burning Summer, but for all the awkward smouldering done by Monica Bellucci, the drama proves a dispiritingly tepid experience.Bellucci and Garrel show their acting limitations quite damagingly at times never remotely work up any of the chemistry required to convince us that these characters are a couple.Unlike the directors widely liked 2004 drama Regular Lovers, this Venice competition entry is unlikely to generate much heat internationally, despite the normally bankable presence of Bellucci and art-house heartthrob Louis Garrel.The film begins promisingly, and atmospherically, with a young man, Fr茅d茅ric Garrel pacing about moodily, before taking a late night drive that ends with a dramatic crash 鈥?after which narrator Paul Robart revea <a href=https://www.cup-stanley.uk>stanley uk</a> ls in voice-over that Fr茅d茅ric has died, in what was clearly a suicide bid. Intercut with this is what must count as the films money shot 鈥?a long take of a naked Bellucci, reclining like Manets Olympia, gesturing alluringly to camera or rather, to Fr茅d茅ric, apparently resisting her invitation .Pauls intermittent narration establishes how he, a struggling actor, came to know Fr茅d茅ric, a painter living in Rome with his wife Ang猫l <a href=https://www.cup-stanley.es>stanley cup</a> e Bellucci , a film actress. EXCLUSIVE: Germanys Rohfilm, which co-produced The Lunchbox, is continuing its association with South Asian cinema by co-producing Iram Haqs What Will People Say.Produced by Maria Ekerhovd of Norways Mer Film, the film tells the story of a Norwegian-Pakistani girl who is forcibly taken to Pakistan by her family after she is discovered with a Norwegian boy.What Will People Say, which has been selected for this years Co-production Market at Film Bazaar, is expected to start shooting in Norway and the Indian states of Rajasthan and Punjab towards the end of next year.
