It has been invited to several festivals including Locarno. This year, JIFF selected three European auteurs for the project, describing them as Jean-Marie Straub, a militant of modern cinema who has examined the materialistic aspect of cinema , Claire Denis, an adventurer who has attempted to encounter the other by crossing boundaries , and Jos茅 Luis Guerin, a director who has discovered the mystery of life with the attitude of an essayist. Whether that will translate into impressive returns for a story in which hes a gun for hire remains to be seen. The members of a French family - mother, father, daughter Corinne Alice Pol and son-in-law Patrick Jonathan Cohen - have invited Corrines new boss Valerie Laure Calamy to Christmas dinner. Recently divorced, Valerie, age 36, is boring her hosts stanley cup to death with her account of modern dating, finally bursting into tears over the lonely unfulfilled life she faces without a mate.To counter their guests despair, the hosts lau
