The Insitu/Boeing ScanEagle unmanned air vehicle has attracted interest as a potential reconnaissance asset for US military convoys in Iraq. The US Air Force UAV battle laboratory at Indian Springs, Nevada had commissioned Boeing to stage a one-day demonstration of the ScanEagle at Nellis AFB on18 December. The goal is to show a capability to monitor convoys over a 200km 110nm route, providing real-time video into a command and control centre. While convoy security is the stated purpose of the demonstration, there also may be interesting using the ScanEagle to take over the base security mission now performed by the Lockheed Martin Desert Hawk mini-UAV. Last month, the ScanEagle fleet passed 1,000 flight hours in the Iraq war zone, performing mainly battlefield reconnaissance for the US Marine Corps. In related UAV developments, Northrop Gr adidas sambarose umman is working to seal a deal with the US Navy to allow the US Army to borrow two RQ-8A Fire Scouts to star work on developing operational concepts and doctrine for the vertical t yeezy ake-off and landing UAV.The army is planning to buy the four-bladed rotary-wing RQ-8B as the Class IV UAV of the Boeing/SAIC Future Combat System, for which the RQ-8B is facing a challenge from the Boeing Unmanned Little Bird.S adidas campus ource: Flight InternationalTopicsFixed-wingHelicoptersMilitary UAVs Related articles Uxmr Nordisk Panorama awards go to The Deminer , Shadow Animals

There was a mutual interest in wanting to work together again, Anderson says when Screen International meets him in November. I remember being the one putting rules to us and saying we had to talk every week and do it like this and play loose with the idea 鈥?just come up with things. Because I knew both of us well enough to know wed get preoccupied and start wandering off. The idea for the Focus Features drama came after 2014s Inherent Vice, a mentally so challenging adaptation of Thomas Pynchons trippy detective story. The instinct is to just do something as opposite to that as possible, so the premise of creating a being in a glamorous world with ball gown yeti s and things like that and focusing on a single relationship is born out of that, says Anderson. The story about a fictitious, celebrated 1950s London dressmaker, whose finely calibrated life and sibling relationship are upended by the arrival of a beguiling ing茅nue, has drawn comparisons to Alfred Hitchcocks 1940 classic Rebecca.
